Commissioned to showcase a custom game engine, Tekika is a kid, able to control one of the four elements, water. (Tekika means 'drop' or 'dripping' in Japanese) selected from 4 different concepts I made (4 kids each controlling a different element), I modeled, sculpted, textured and rigged the character with focus on a gaming context.
Exotic Matter is an upcoming game developed by Moebiusgames, for which I was initially hired as a 3D asset creator, later on to be the main art director, concept designer and 3D artist. the focus is on creating a cohesive art style for 3 different themes (human technology, alien technology, terrain) all under the limit of 500 triangles for each item, and a 300x300 pxl resolution for all textures. in addition, the world is generated mainly via 1x1x1 blocks that require seamless textures, which also brings the challenge of producing textures in a manner that look good in repetition and blend together well.
An ongoing personal project of illustrations based on children in ambiguous settings. mainly inspired by the book 'Lord of the Flies', the Peter Pan story, and the portrayal of teenagers in TV shows and movies from the 80's.
No rest for the wicked
Ongoing experimental comic illustrations, trying out various styles inspired by comic books and Mangas. subjects are mainly directed towards Melancholia, suffering, and the dark aspects of the human psyche, plus a small addition of pulp culture.
Misc. Character Design
A series of Splash images illustrated for promotional purposes. Pwnieyard is a game in development by Monoid with it's main characters being children/teenagers.
The square frame of the illustrations is due to the fact that the images are supposed to be presented as Polaroid pictures.
A series of illustrations used as CD covers or posters for 2 different music bands, 'Papilion', a post rock ambient music band from Iran-Germany, and 'the Afternoon Dreamers', a folk / alternative rock band from Canada.

blades of chance
Blades of Chance was Monoid's first game published for the android market, in which I designed and created all the visual elements, from early concepts to game assets to the UI, and also co-designed the game mechanics.
A cover image comissioned by the 'Game Artist Experience' group in Hamburg-Germany. The 'night' image was used before the end of 2015 followed by the 'day' image starting the year 2016.
Vagabonds of a new era
An ongoing personal project, shaping the lore of a post apocalyptic setting. My attempt in here was to design vagabonds and hermits relative to that setting. I was also fascinated with the the subject of the 'fool' in the middle ages or early Islamic literature. A person appearing to be insane and a fool, roaming the streets telling jokes and acting weird, yet speaking words of wisdom and exposing truths no normal citizen dares to, since he/she is socially labled as 'crazy' and thus immune to judgement.
